Catoctin Challenge Basketball Tournament

Catoctin Basketball is partnering with the Loudoun Freedom to host a basketball tournament for boys and girls teams. The Loudoun Freedom will be hosting the Freedom Challenge for girls teams. The Catoctin Basketball Club will be hosting the Catoctin Challenge for boys teams.
Catoctin Challenge (Boys Teams Only)
Registration: Begins Feb 1st and lasts through April 17th (See registration links at the bottom of this news section)
Location/Date: Loudoun County Schools/April 25-26
Gender/Age: Boys Only, 3rd through 8th grade (AAU Age Rules Apply)
Format: 4 games, Round Robin (Note: Format is NOT pool/bracket play to championship)
We strive to provide 4 competitive games for each team based upon ability and skill level.
Rules: HS Federation Rules, Exceptions: 14 minute stop clock, 4 thirty second timeouts, Free Throws played on the release, 1 & 1 on the 10th foul
Schedule: While not all schedule requests can be granted, we will make every effort to honor all schedule requests that accompany registration OR are provided prior to the registration deadline of April 17th. No schedule requests will be granted after the schedule has been released.

Catoctin High School Girl Workouts

Woodgrove and Loudoun Valley High School Girl Workouts
CBC is proud to announce that it will offer high school workouts for lady Woodgrove and lady Loudoun Valley players this spring. The workouts will be held on Sundays from 5:00-7:00PM starting Sunday March 22nd and ending June 14th (some blackout days will apply). The workouts will be held at Patrick Henry College. The workouts are open to current lady Woodgrove and Loudoun Valley Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Freshmen players. The fees for the workouts will be a ONE TIME fee of $25. The fee covers the costs of the gym space. Note that the number of attendants will be limited to 18. There is a registration process that is detailed below. The first 18 participants that register and pay will be allowed to participate. These workouts are on a "come as you can" basis and will focus on basketball skills as related to playing at the high school level. If the number of potential registrations is high, we will look to add extra workouts in the coming weeks to allow more than 18 to participate. Follow the instructions below for registration/payment:
Email Bill Owen with your registration request. The email subject line should be HIGH SCHOOL GIRL WORKOUT REGISTRATION. An email will be sent back to you stating whether you are one of the first 18 players requesting registration. Only the first 18 playersrequesting registration will be allowed to participate. If you are one of the first 18 requesting registration, then an email will be sent back to you with a CBC Release Form attached and payment information. If you are NOT one of the first 18 requesting registration (19 or higher), then an email will be sent back stating that the clinics are full. Once agian, if interest is high enough we will look to

CBC Clincs / Training is happy to announce another series of clinics on Sunday afternoons!
Clnics will be for the month of January AND Febrary 1st, and will be held at Patrick Henry College.
Shooting clinics; 1:15pm to 2:30pm. Ball Handling: 2:45pm to 4pm.
Cost: $20 for one clinic, or $30 for both. Drop off and pick up is allowed.

Grades: 3rd to 8th. Boys and Girls.
Clinic instructors will be local high school players and focus will be fundamental drills and some competitive games.
Patrick Henry College is on Route 287. Park next to the tennis courts and go onto the brick building in the middle - the door says "contract teams entrance". Find clinic director Derek Irelan or Onzy Elam to check in!
